What is project billing in TimeHunter?
Project billing is a TimeHunter addon that records working time per client. During the workday the employee starts a “client work” timer, picks the client and one of its rates, and the system calculates hours × rate. Managers see live who is working on what and how much is ready to invoice.
For accounting firms, law firms and agencies this means the end of a multi-hundred-row spreadsheet where every month you manually check how many hours Anna in operations spent on client A, B and C. The employee taps start, picks the client and rate, and adds a note on what they are doing (e.g. report, audit, advisory).
How it works step by step
Add your clients
Manually or via CSV import. Each client: name, category, currency, up to 3 hourly rates and 2 markups.
Employee picks the client during work
Mobile app or web: after clocking in, client → rate → start. Switching client in one tap closes the previous entry.
Download the invoice PDF
End of month: billing dashboard → client → PDF with hours × rate. Invoice attachment ready.

Pricing
You add the “Project billing” addon to your TimeHunter plan and switch it on yourself in the admin panel, with no new contract. The price and billing model (per employee or a flat monthly fee per company) are listed in the Pricing section. New accounts get a 14-day trial.
What the invoice PDF contains
Your company and the client
Your company name, address and tax ID, the client name and the billed period.
Hours breakdown
Hours and amounts by day, employee and rate, plus a list of entries with notes.
Fixed fee and surcharges
Clients on a monthly fixed fee: the fee, recurring surcharges and one-off items, with working time listed without hourly amounts.
